The food and the service were excellent! My husband loved the tender clams in the clam chowder as well as the two hush puppies that came on the side. I am dairy and gluten free, so the manager asked the chef to baste the grilled shrimp in olive oil instead of butter and checked with me before adding the blackening spices. We had a great dinner!

Had a real nice meal, passing through town on the way to NOLA. We had combo meals with a mix of fried and broiled seafood, and all were fresh and prepared very well. The fried food was not greasy in the least, the kitchen knows what they are doing. Catfish was thin filets, which I find is popular in the region, fried okra was nicely seasoned, my wife loved the greens and broiled scallops (a little high in salt, tho), hush puppies were very good but not seasoned much at all. The table has an array of hot sauces along with tartar and cocktail sauces. The place reminds me of a diner (ok, I'm from Jersey), with its choices of "sides". For a couple bucks more you can upgrade to a side salad; it was a step up from what you might expect. We'd go back.

Great fried seafood. I was delighted at the look of my platter when my server brought it out. The shrimp, oysters and grouper were all fried to perfection-not greasy and tender, not chewy. Even the fried okra, great when fried properly but hard to find that way, was cooked perfectly. The steak fries were also hot and tender. I will definitely be back when I am through Lake City again. If you like fried seafood, this is a GEM!

First time here and we will be back. All 4 of us liked what we ordered. The scallops and shrimp were great. The sweet ice tea was perfect. It was very crowded (Friday eve.) but service was still good and fast.

Not bad for an ambitious chain of two locations. I visited the Lake City site at almost 2 pm and was able to order from the luncheon menu. I had grilled shrimp with a slightly spicy sweet sauce marinade which were nicely grilled. It came with rice and I didn't realize that when I ordered cheese grits and okra with stewed tomatoes. There were very large portions ( enough for two people or take home the rest). The grits were good and cheesy, and the okra and tomatoes were good too. The only disappointment were the hush puppies - too greasy. This was an easy off Route 10 or 75.

The best seafood ever! The 3/4 pound fried shrimp with the macaroni is ultimately the best!Their flounder is also delicious fries or cooked! Dragonfly and cedar river are almost tied. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Mediocre at best, nothing about the place made me ever want to return. Fried shrimp and scallops were tiny, Mac and cheese was cold, and then we had to wait for 10 minutes just to pay our bill at the one check out register. Two stars rather than one simply because our server was very pleasant.

Pretty decent seafood quality, but not amazing. For the location it is worth exploring if you are in the mood for seafood. Came here with a very big party and got to try a little bit of everything. Very friendly staff and comfortable dinning area. Appetizers (Gator, Coconut Fried Shrimp, Fried Oysters and stuffed mushrooms) overall they were good with my biggest complaint being the shrimp not having as much flavor as one would expect. For the main course I went with the lobster combo. The lobster tails were just okay. Meat quality was a little tough and lacked the flavor I was hoping for, but the collard greens and slaw were pretty point on. Then the shrimp were well seasoned but not that great of quality shrimp. Small and not of the best quality. Scallops were miniature and again were not as good texture-wise from what I expected. The friend clams I got in place of oysters were spot on and hush puppies were not bad as well. Overall this place is good, but not spectacular. Would I pick it over red lobster? Yes, but I would not drive out of my way to come to here specifically.

It is by far the best seafood in Lake City. I love their Greens and fried okra. All the fish is fresh. I will be back

The clam chowder was absolutely amazing. Their seafood cream cheese dip was yummy also. My son had the seafood linguine and loved it. I had the low boil with crab legs and it was perfect. Really, everything we ordered was top notch!!! Slow service, but the food was worth it. Hoping to swing back through on our way out of town for more!

Great service, and was very satisfied with the amount of food for the price, you wont leave hungry.

Ate here this week for a birthday dinner with a party of 7. The service was prompt and out waiter was very friendly. The portions are HUGE! I had the clam strip, shrimp, and scallop trio and all were delicious. I personally did not order the collard greens but my brother did and offered them to me when he had no room left to eat them. They were delicious and usually, I don't say that about collards. The restaraunt was festively decorated and them atmosphere was nice. Everyone in the group was well pleased. I would recommend Cedar Creek.

The absolute worst food either of us ever had at a restaurant. Saw the good reviews and passed many acceptable fast food places to pay more here. If your idea of seafood is thickly battered, deep fried so you don't know what it was to begin with, you might like it. Clearly some people do. If you expect carefully prepared and seasoned fresh fish you will hate it. Neither my husband nor I could eat it. He was sick during the night.

We awkwardly stood unseated for several minutes at the entrance while the cashier/hostess answered a phone call and other staff just ignored us. At that point we should have ran out the door and went anywhere else! Over the years we had heard people talking about how good their food is in the one in Gainesville, so we assumed even though the place looked like a hole in the wall, it would have really good food. We were hoping for a hidden gem. Not!!! I ordered sweet tea. You could tell it was from a dirty container- (it gets a sour, nasty taste) and it was so sweet it was inedible. I drink tea everywhere I go so I consider myself to be a good judge. My son ordered a Mr. Pibb and between my husband, myself and my son we could not determine what flavor of soda he was served. I guess the syrups got mixed up and the machines were old and funky? It tasted very bad whatever it was. And not to be nit-picky, but the cups were old and dirty looking and YES we should have left at that point. My husband and I ordered the scallop and shrimp combo. I honestly have never tasted scallops like this, ever. Dried up and no flavor whatsoever. I don't know if they were old or ? Re-frozen over and over? Freezer burned? The shrimp was similar to something you would get in the frozen dept. of a supermarket and they were dry and overdone. The fries were fat, nasty unseasoned steak fries. The slaw was ok. The green beans were way overdone and could almost be mashed with a fork and be made into baby food. The decor is seriously outdated and the chairs were uncomfortable. And it needs a good cleaning.

Great food. Fresh and a nice selection. Service was great. I'll be back.

The food has been good the three times we have eaten here, but the service has detracted from it. I don't think we have ever not had to request drink refills, and once our waitress just disappeared and never came back. We had to ask a server at another table to bring us drinks.

Just Yuck. The food was mediocre, the silverware and cups were dirty and the service left A LOT to be desired. We ate here a few years back and it was pretty good despite the depressingly outdated decor and mix of country and disco playing over the dust coated speakers in the ceiling. We were craving seafood and thought we would go back....I wish now that we had gone anywhere but here.

Great food, lunch prices are reasonable. We were on I10 going into JAcksonville, but this place is about 5 minutes out of the way. Well worth it. fresh seafood.. They had the good kind of fries, and the okra and tomatoes were to die for!

If ambiance is important to you, skip this place. Rather utilitarian decor with basic tables, booths, etc. Seemed clean, though, and that's a big plus. The food isn't bad and the portions are plentiful. We ordered a seafood platter for two and there was more than enough. The deviled crab wasn't very impressive, though the rest of the meal was pretty good. Next time would ask about substituting the deviled crab for more scallops or shrimp, maybe. Service was good and we would probably go back.
